Shen Yun Atsauksme: Rojin Rahmani, musician
“ I was mesmerized and astonished within the first few minutes… It was so hard to believe they were trained, it was as if it comes from them. The harmony, how they were harmonized with the music, and they all had beautiful smiles, it was just so natural. It’s not like they were performing… I felt like I was concentrating on my ears to stop recording, I was thinking ‘I need to have this melody in my head.’ It was just beautiful, very beautiful, very beautiful… Shen Yun music proves that not every message needs to be delivered via language or written words… The beauty of hope, and unity, and the good old story we all learned growing up, that good always wins… I was crying half the time, I was thinking ‘This is so emotional!’… This is something different, this is culture, this is musical, this is spiritual—another level of connectivity with different cultures, different ethnicities, and people in the past… I’m so sorry I didn’t go the years before, but I’m definitely going to do it every year.”
